FULL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Lucky Giraffle Ltd, operates knowledge- based competitions resulting in the allocation of prizes in accordance with the Terms and Conditions below.
Qualifying Persons
Our Competitions are open to all persons aged 18 and over and the age of majority in their country of residence excluding the Promoter’s employees or members of their immediate family, agents or any other person who is connected with the creation or administration of our competitions.
Legal Undertaking
By entering our competitions the entrant will be deemed to have legal capacity to do so and to have read and understood these Terms and Conditions and to be bound by them and by any other requirements set out in any of our related promotional material.
Our Competitions are governed by English Law and any disputes relating to a competition will be resolved under English Law and the Courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
By accepting these Terms and Conditions you confirm that you are not breaching any laws in your country of residence regarding the legality of entering our competitions. You agree that we will not be held responsible if you enter our competitions unlawfully. If in any doubt you should check with the relevant authorities in your country.
Competition Entry
Our Competitions may be entered by post (see below) or online via the Lucky Giraffle Website. One or more Competitions may be entered at the same time and each Competition will have a specific prize draw
Availability and pricing of tickets will be at our discretion and will be specified at point of sale on the Website
In order to enter a Competition, you will need to register an account with us.
To register your account you will be asked to provide an email address or sign in via a social media account, such as Facebook, Apple, Twitter or Google.
Each account can only have one username attributed to it at any given time. For example,
a) you cannot have both an email address AND a Social Media account attributed to your Lucky Giraffle Account.
b) You cannot have two or more email addresses attributed to your Lucky Giraffle Account. if you create multiple accounts using different email addresses or Social Media Accounts, each username will be treated as a separate Lucky Giraffle Account.
Payment
Payment will be taken online by debit or credit cards and your payment information will be stored by a reputable merchant provider for future play. NB: Giraffle does not have access to these payment details.
Competition entry
To enter a Competition you need to
a) Select a prize
b) decide how many tickets you wish to buy.
c) Answer a multiple- choice question which will test your knowledge
When you press “play” the payment for your tickets will be automatically taken from your payment method and you are acknowledging that you accept the terms and conditions herein.
Once your payment has cleared, we will email you to confirm your entry into the Competition. If you answered the question correctly, we will provide you with your ticket numbers.
We reserve the right to refuse or disqualify any entries if we have reasonable grounds to believe an entrant has contravened our Terms and Conditions.
The draw
Our draws are made on Friday evenings at 20.00 and thereafter broadcast on various media platforms such as Facebook and youtube.
A video recording of the draw will be posted to the website and archived under “live draws”.
To select the winning numbers we will use the online Google random number generator.
Winners
If you have the winning ticket you will be notified by email within 24 hours of the draw and your prize despatched within 14 days of you acknowledging our email.
If for any reason we are unable to contact a Winner within 5 days of the live draw (a time we may extend at our sole discretion) or the Winner fails to confirm acceptance of the prize or is disqualified as a result of contravening our Terms and Conditions, they will forfeit the prize and the draw will take place again. For the avoidance of doubt once the prize has been forfeited the original Winner, will have no further claims against the Promoter.
Competition closing dates
We reserve the right at our sole discretion to extend the closing date of any competition if for any reason any aspect of the competition is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures, failure to sell sufficient tickets, or any cause beyond our control that corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition.
We may also at our sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend a competition, or invalidate any entries we feel may have been compromised.
In the event we close a Competition early, the Winner may be selected from all valid and eligible Entries received prior to the date of closure, except that we also reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to close a Competition early without selecting a Winner. In the event that a Competition is closed without selecting a Winner, we will refund all monies in full within 14 days.
Our database
All Entrants are automatically entered onto our database for the purpose of conveying information to them as to the status of a competition, or to send them any promotions or competitions we feel might be of interest.
Identity confirmation
Winners may be required to provide a copy of their passport to confirm their identity and age.
Also to prove that for any credit card provided it was legally theirs or they had authorisation to use it,
Any failure to provide this information may result in the winner being disqualified and us choosing an alternate winner.
Prizes
If due to circumstances beyond our control, we are unable to provide the stated prize, we reserve the right at our sole discretion to award the winner a non-cash equivalent.
We cannot guarantee that all prizes won, if to be delivered outside the UK, will conform to local standards in the destination country. It is the Prize Winner’s responsibility to check this. For the avoidance of doubt, the maximum value for which we will accept liability will be for the UK RRP (or local currency equivalent) of the prize as advertised on our website.
We reserves the right to award a selection of substitute prizes of equal or greater value.
Winners’ Personal Data
Acceptance of a prize by a Winner will mean they are obliged to have their photo and video taken by us for promotional purposes (Public Relations and Marketing), both immediately after their win and in the future – unless prohibited by law.
By entering a competition, winners agree to the use of their name, address, and/or photograph or other likeness, as well as their appearance at publicity events without any additional compensation (save for reasonable travel expenses)
Limits of Liability
We make no representations or warranties as to the quality/suitability of any of the goods or services offered as prizes.
Except for liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, we will not accept liability for any loss suffered or sustained to person or property including, but not limited to, consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission by ourselves, or our servants or agents, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any goods by any person to the prize Winner(s) and, where applicable, to any family/persons accompanying the Winner(s), or in connection with any of the competitions we promote.
We shall not be liable for any economic or other consequential loss suffered or sustained to any persons to whom a prize has been incorrectly awarded, and no compensation shall be due.
We shall use our best endeavours to ensure that the software and website(s) used to operate our Competitions perform correctly and accurately across the latest versions of popular internet, tablet and mobile browsers.
For the avoidance of doubt, only the ticket coordinates recorded in our systems, howsoever displayed or calculated, shall be entered into the relevant Competition and we shall not be held liable for any competition entries that occur as a result of malfunctioning software or other event.
Electronic Communications
No responsibility will be accepted for failed, partial or garbled computer transmissions, for any computer, telephone, cable, network, electronic or internet hardware or software malfunctions, failures, connections, availability, for the acts or omissions of any service provider, internet accessibility or availability or for traffic congestion or unauthorised human act, including any errors or mistakes.
We shall use our best endeavours to award the prize for a competition to the correct entrant. If due to reasons of hardware, software or other computer related failure, or due to human error the prize is awarded incorrectly, we reserve the right to reclaim the prize and award it to the correct entrant, at our sole discretion and without admission of liability.
Data Protection Notice
Any personal data you supply to us or authorise us to obtain from a third party, for example, a credit card company, will be used to administer the Competition and fulfil prizes where applicable. In order to process, record and use your personal data we may disclose it to:
any credit card company whose name you provide to us;
any person to whom we propose to transfer any of our rights and/or responsibilities;
any person to whom we propose to transfer our business or any part of it;
any legal or regulatory organisation in a country or jurisdiction that demands it
any organisation involved in preventing, detecting or prosecuting fraud and other crimes.
In order to process, use, record and disclose your personal data we may need to transfer such information outside the United Kingdom, in which event we are responsible for ensuring that your it continues to be adequately protected during the course of such transfer.

To enter any competition for free
You must first create an account then send your name, address, date of birth, e-mail address and contact telephone number on a stamped addressed postcard to Lucky Giraffle, c/o Murphy Thompson Moore, 3rd Floor, 82, Kings Street, Manchester M2 4WQ and must arrive no later than 2 days after the competition closing date. First or second class postage must be paid.
